Maryland Basic Boating Classes
The Friends of Anne Arundel County Trails offers The Maryland Basic Boating Safety Classes at the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Department . The classes take place in the meeting room on the second floor. This course provides an overview of the rules and fundamentals of safe boating. Pre-registration for the three part classes is required. Registration must be made in person at the Earleigh Heights Ranger Station. A non-refundable and non-transferable program fee of $25 is required to attend the classes.
Participants must attend all three classes and pass the examination in order to receive the certification. All classes are from 7:00 p.m. to around 10:00 p.m. Checks should be made payable to “Friends of Anne Arundel County Trails”. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
