Under perfect skies, over 75 folks took to their bikes and rode in honor of the unofficial "Mayor of the B&A Trail, Tom Caraker III. Tom was a long standing Trailblazer, assisting riders and walkers along the trail whenever he could.
Sadly, Tom passed away, but his legend lives on. The Big Bean, a favorite stopping place of Tom's for a cup of joe, has prepared a special blend of coffee beans for your pleasure.
The Friends of Anne Arundel County Trails is working with BikeAAA, the county, and friends of Tom's to install a plaza behind the Big Bean to commemorate Tom's contributions to the community. Please consider making a donation to help fund the plaza. Donations can be sent to the Friends of Anne Arundel County Trails, P.O. Box 464, Severna Park, MD 21146, with a note on the check stating it is for Tom. Or, you can donate online with the Friends of Anne Arundel County Trails. Is easy and quick!
