The paved approximate 8 mile trail is open dawn to dusk and connects the B&A Trail to Sandy Point State Park. Several spurs include a connection to Anne Arundel Community College, Broadneck Library, Broadneck Park, Walnut Ridge Drive along Cape St. Claire Road, and Bay Head Park.
The Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony was held on March 30, 2026 as the official opening of phases 1B, 3, and 5 of the Broadneck Peninsula Trail.
Ed Parker, honary member of the Friends of Anne Arundel County Trails, was instrumental in sustaining the focus and direction of the planning of the Broadneck Peninsula Trail. His effort was acknowledged by Anne Arundel County at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
